Stargazers - Take Note...
The following comments were written by esteemed astronomer, Gregg Thompson:
"It is difficult to find a good location to stargaze - too much cloud cover, too much ambient light, air not clear, and so it goes on and on.
But at Thunderbird Park there are generally none of these problems - it is a stargazer's paradise! "
Gregg Thompson is the Author of "Australian Stargazing"
Imagine looking up into the universe under a dark country sky and seeing millions of stars that appear so close you could reach out and touch them! Well, at Thunderbird Park on Tamborine Mountain, you can do just that.

Relax in the seclusion of Thunderbird Park's 320 acres and wonder about the meaning of existence. Thunderbird Park's guests can observe satellites passing overhead, meteor showers, the planets, lunar features, constellations and, occasionally, eclipses and comets.

In these skies, the Milky Way blazes revealing its dust lanes, nebulae and star clusters - many of which are easily visible with the naked eye and in binoculars.
There is a Stargazer's Starlight Kit available at Thunderbird Park's Reception which includes
- Binoculars
- Constellation Finder
- Star Tracker
- Meteor Shower Information Sheet
- Observing Suggestions
$9.90 per person (plus $50 refundable deposit)
So wish upon a Shooting Star at this Million Star Mountain Retreat!

Campers - Take Note...
