It's a trip of discovery surrounded by some of the world's most splendid and tranquil national parks and state forests. Giant fig trees, towering eucalypts, tropical tree ferns and palms attract colonies of koalas and other Australian animals.
Native flora and fauna - Australia at its natural and unspoilt best!
Bush walking through Tamborine Mountain takes walkers on a timeless journey, with natural beauty in a story book setting. Enjoy crisp clean air and huge trees weighed down with magnificent Hoyas, wisteria and other floral species add to the irresistible allure of Thunderbird Park. From high plateaus to tumbling waterfalls, virgin rainforests to natural Australian bush lands, bushwalkers will enjoy a limitless variety of vegetation.
Thunderbird Park has kangaroos, wallabies, platypus and koalas in the wild as well as an endless array of Australian birdlife. Added to this, there are horse riding trails and natural swimming rock pools on Cedar Creek and at Cedar Creek Falls.
Bush walking is encouraged and bush walking courses are open 7 days a week. We highly recommend it is only done during day light as the tracks are unsafe at night.
