Nature’s Most Colourful Show
Get ready to witness a colourful spectacle in the heart of the rainforest! Every day at Thunderbird Park, the trees come alive as hundreds of rainbow lorikeets and native birds swoop in for their daily feast. Guided by our friendly and experienced staff, you’ll get up close to these cheeky characters as they flutter, perch, and chatter all around you. It’s a peaceful yet thrilling encounter, full of vibrant colour and unforgettable natural beauty. No experience needed and suitable for all ages – just bring your curiosity and camera.
Are you ready to be part of the flock?
Rainbow lorikeets love sweet nectar and pollen from flowers! Their tongues are like tiny brushes, perfect for slurping up their favourite food.Â
At Thunderbird Park, we feed them a special nectar mix that keeps them healthy and strong! Giving them the wrong food, like bread or seeds, can hurt their beaks and make them sick.
The food we feed them is only a tiny part of their rich and varied diet they source in the wild!
“I went to watch the birds feed but ended up going around for a look..Great place for families and the adventurous..Had a ice cream at kiosk surrounded by all the lovely birds..The rain forest resturant and bar looked very nice..” Julia Lee | Google
