Thunderbird Park is an amazing wildlife and geological rich oasis stretching over 112 hectares which you can enjoy night and day as it also offers wonderful Mt Tamborine accommodation. Translucent rock pools, inspiring landscapes, towering rainforests and star studded skies all add to the magic of Thunderbird Park. Here you will find the best Tamborine Mountain camping areas and caravan sites which all have their own rock bordered firepits - crates of firewood are available for purchase.

We have a variety of powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites available depending on your requirements. Our Reservations Team will do their best to allocate suitable sites based on the information provided at the time of booking.

* Children = 5 - 17 years old. Children 4 and under are free of charge.

 

* PET FRIENDLY - Dogs are permitted throughout our caravan and camping sites however must be kept on a lead at all times.

 - Please note, Pit Bull Terriers are prohibited on the property at all times.

 - a $15 per pet fee is charged at the time of booking. Please note, guests must clean up after their pets at all times. 

 

 

There is one amenities block at Thunderbird Park.  It is the Amethyst Amenities Block. 

Showers are token operated. Tokens can be purchased at reception for $2 each. One token will provide you with hot water for a 5 minute period.

There are 2 Bunkhouses which overlook Cedar Creek’s pristine rainforest, cascading waterfalls and natural rock pools. The Upper Bunkhouse has a total of 8 rooms with 8 bunk beds per room giving a total capacity of 64. The Lower Bunkhouse has a total of 7 rooms with 8 bunk beds per room giving a total capacity of 56.  The total Bunkhouse capacity is 120 with additional accommodation options available.

Standard and Deluxe Bunk Rooms feature four sets of bunk beds.

 

Deluxe Bunk Rooms have additional features including a bar fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave and table and chairs.

 

 

In each bunkhouse there is a men's and women's amenities as well as a common laundry with a large token operated washing machine and dryer.

 

 

A camp kitchen is located in the Lower Bunkhouse. The camp kitchen features 5 bar fridges, table and chairs for 16 guests, microwaves, kettles and toasters.  It is opened at 7am and closed at 10pm by our caretaker.  Keys are not provided for the camp kitchen.  It remains locked when all Standard Bunk Rooms  are vacant or when the bunkhouses are occupied  with a large group.

 

 

 

Linen packs are available upon request. $20 per person including 2 sheets, 1 doona (incl cover), 1 pillow (incl pillow case) and 1 towel. A linen pack will be placed at the foot of the bed ready for your arrival. If you prefer to have your bed made up, an additional charge of $11 per bed applies.
