Tamborine Mountain Trail Rides is nestled in the foothills of the Gold Coast’s Tamborine Mountain, in historic Thunderbird Park, a sprawling 112 hectare mountain retreat bordered by State Forest and National Park.

Imagine riding trails that wind through cool, green rainforest next to a rushing creek, then climbing upwards to venture through majestic, tall gum trees with breathtaking views of the valley below! It's some of the best horse riding at Mt Tamborine and is one of the Gold Coast Hinterland's favourite attractions.

Tamborine Mountain is known world wide for its unique, mystical beauty. You will soon discover why it attracts people from all over the world!

Geoff and Karen Cook have been sharing their passion for horses with people from all over the world since taking over the long established Tamborine Mountain Trail Rides in 2004.Together with their daughter Celine they have brought the magical experience of riding a horse through one of the most beautiful places on earth to many thousands of people.

“Being able to share the joy of horses and our beautiful country by providing a safe, enjoyable and educational experience is what we are about” - Karen Cook, Owner & Operator.

All of the horses are fit, exceptionally well looked after and in very good condition. They vary in breed and type and all are experienced in negotiating the mountain trails.  We will match you with a horse to suit your level of experience and your size.  We use mainly Australian stock saddles, all of which are individually fitted to the horses, comfortable to ride in and well maintained.
