Rock Pools

Natural Rock Pool Swimming

We are fortunate enough to have a portion of Cedar Creek flowing through our property, which provides natural, cascading rock pools - the perfect way to spend a hot summer's day!

The pools are dotted all along Cedar Creek and are free to use for our in house guests.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times and as the pools are natural, safe footwear (water shoes) is recommended.

Come Swim With Us

We've cleared and opened up two medium-sized pools in close proximity to the property, opposite to the Thunderegg Crystal Mine. It's essential to wear bathers and sensible walking shoes when trailing along Cedar Creek which is lined by subtropical rainforest and open woodlands. Reef shoes are recommended when in the rock pools for the safety and comfort of our guests.

PLEASE NOTE that ALL rubbish must be taken away as there are no rubbish receptacles and swimming in the rock pools is subject to suitable rainfall.

Please understand this is a potentially-dangerous activity and all precautions must be taken to ensure a safe and sensible bush walking and swimming adventure.

Don't let this deter you from this fun and exciting activity! Rock pool swimming is the perfect Summer school holiday activity.

Alcohol and smoking are not permitted, and the rock pools are only available to Thunderbird Park's campers and guests staying at Cedar Creek Lodges.
